LifeNet Air2
LNNY Air 2, also known as the Kobelt base due to it's location at the Kobelt Airport started as the second helicopter of a hospital-based system for Westchester Medical Center (WMC). Originally Westchester Medical Center's Hospital based system was known as STAT Flight until the program was outsourced in 2004. We then became known as LifeNet NY Air 2, a community based service.
LNNY Air 2 is located at 863 Plains Rd. in the Hamlet of Wallkill in Ulster County. Our coverage areas include the counties of Ulster, Orange, Dutchess and Putnam primarily but we also frequently service Westchester, Sullivan, Greene and Columbia counties. Our primary aircraft is an EC 145 which is one of the largest airframes in the fleet which means we have a higher weight carrying capacity. This also allows us the ability to carry specialty teams from WMC and assist with their neonatal and ECMO transports.
Our crews are skilled in advanced airway management, pediatrics, intra-aortic balloon pumps and Impella transports on top of our standard adult missions.
